Overview
International Consultant to prepare a Situation Analysis of Children and Women in the Kyrgyz Republic by reviewing and synthesizing available data and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a work plan with proposed methodology and timeline.
- Conduct a desk review and define the report structure.
- Prepare an inception report.
- Draft the SitAn report, including macroeconomic overview, SoCR annex, and thematic briefs.
- Revise the draft report based on feedback.
- Develop briefs and documents for strategic consultations.
- Finalize the report, including executive summary, conclusions, and annexes.
- Present the final report and findings.
- Prepare a delivery pack with clean files and annexes.
Required Experience
- Recognized institution/researcher with proven experience in public policy, social policy and policy analysis, child/human rights, public finance.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in development of analytical reports and policy documents related to children and adolescents.
- Proven experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, policy (and finance) analysis, and report preparation.
- Experience in facilitating consultations with government representatives, NGOs, academia, children, adolescents and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the Central Asia region's contexts is an asset.
- Previous experience with UNICEF is an advantage.
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in social sciences, international development or related fields relevant for the assignment.
