Overview
Consultant to support the Ministry of Public Health in strengthening the training system and employability of Community Agents, focusing on capacity building and program operationalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the review of integrated training curricula to include gender/youth dimensions.
- Support the review/revision of framework documents for accreditation and certification based on competencies, and professionalization of Community Agents.
- Support the organization of meetings with the Ministry of Public Health and provide technical assistance to remove bottlenecks.
- Support the mapping of actors to be trained, capacity building needs analysis, and establishment of a training plan for pilot regions.
- Collaborate with decentralized officials in delivering training to identified actors in a harmonized and integrated manner.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant national professional experience in planning and management and/or relevant areas of maternal, neonatal, and child health care.
- Work experience with community health programs with good knowledge of the community health system in Madagascar.
- Proven experience in developing training materials and facilitating training.
- Relevant prior experience in developing and managing community health/nutrition programs and projects is an asset.
- Good experience in monitoring and evaluation or management information systems at the national level will be an asset.
- Relevant experience in a UN agency or organization is considered an asset.
Qualifications
Master's degree in public health, pediatric health, family epidemiology, or community health-related sciences.
