Overview
International consultant to conduct an assessment of the quality of neonatal and obstetric care in Abkhazia, Georgia, focusing on improving peri- and neonatal care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise on maternity and immediate newborn care, including patient rights, human resource motivation, tool adaptation, facility assessments, report preparation, and protocol development.
- Lead maternity and immediate newborn care assessments across all sites, producing completed facility assessment tools and facility gap summaries.
- Draft maternity and newborn sections of the assessment report and recommendations.
- Draft maternity-related elements of five clinical protocols.
- Co-facilitate workshops and update protocols.
- Provide final technical inputs and presentation slides.
Required Experience
- Minimum 10 years clinical experience
- Experience with WHO quality assessment tool
- Experience in developing clinical protocols
- Training experience
- Experience with UNICEF and WHO
- Experience in fragile contexts (advantage)
Qualifications
• Professional degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery
