Overview

Support the development and operationalization of PISTA's bilateral cooperation activities, in close coordination with the Italian government, aiming at implementing projects in the areas of climate change, clean energy, and the environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and operationalization of PISTA’s bilateral cooperation activities.
  • Support the implementation of energy and climate projects in emerging markets and developing economies.
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of PISTA procurement activities.
  • Support operations linked to the PISTA programme.
  • Support engagement with the Donor, Country Offices, Regional Bureaus, and project teams.
  • Support the identification and engagement of private sector actors.
  • Support any reporting associated with PISTA.
  • Perform any other duties within their functional profile.
Required Experience
  • Experience in the fields of climate and energy project development and sustainable finance.
  • Experience coordinating the implementation of international project activities with UNDP Country Offices or other organizations.
  • Experience supporting the successful implementation of project procurement processes.
  • Experience with blended finance instruments and with public and private climate finance.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships with national and local governments, foundations, international organizations, and other public and private stakeholders.
  • Experience in project implementation reporting.
  • Experience in drafting, formulation, and reporting, with strong analytical aptitude.
  • Experience conducting research, and demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience working in multicultural, multinational, and UN or similar international environments.
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in challenging environments.
  • Strongly self-motivated, proactive, with a strong ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to work with tight deadlines.
  • Very high attention to detail.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in economics, development, business, international relations, climate change studies, or any closely related field.

Monthly Living Allowance (Per month, paid in USD): apx. USD 2591.09 Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 3500 Exit allowance (for each month served, paid on completion of contract): USD 225 Medical and life insurance: Cigna Private Insurance
