Overview
The Project Associate (Data Management) will provide support to the Project Manager in ensuring data management accuracy, integrity, and timeliness to support project activities related to land data digitalization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and oversight for data entry operations at field locations.
- Assist in the deployment and capacity building of data enumerators and supervisors.
- Oversee data collection, review, input, and verification of land data.
- Supervise data entry and verification of Records of Rights (RoR/Khatian) and mutation records.
- Ensure Register-1 and Register-2 are used for data validation.
- Monitor the integration of land development tax, mutation records, and RoR into the digital system.
- Identify and document field-level data entry challenges and propose solutions.
- Implement quality assurance protocols for digitized land data.
- Conduct regular audits and cross-checks of entered data.
- Contribute to refining data entry and validation processes.
- Assist in establishing data cleansing and reconciliation procedures.
- Facilitate coordination with government officials and software vendors.
- Act as a liaison between UNDP, field enumerators, government officials, and the software team.
- Support outreach and community engagement activities for data collection.
- Participate in meetings with local land office officials.
- Contribute to the development of a monitoring system for data entry and verification.
- Document findings, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports on data management activities.
- Support overall project monitoring by providing accurate data.
- Contribute to capturing lessons learned and good practices.
- Support the establishment of knowledge platforms.
- Assist in identifying capacity building needs of data enumerators and staff.
Required Experience
- Minimum 7 years (with secondary education) or 4 years (bachelor´s degree) of practical experience at the national level in data management, data analysis, or IT support for development projects.
- Demonstrated experience in operating MS Office Package.
- Experience in geospatial data or GIS applications are essential.
- Experience to supervise the data entry and verification of land data in the Digital Land Record Management System.
- Proven experiences in the refinement of data entry and validation processes.
Qualifications
- Secondary Education is required.
- University degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics or a closely relevant academic discipline will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
