Overview
The Child Protection Officer will lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of UNICEF's Child Protection in Emergency (CPiE) response programme in Tamatave, ensuring timely, effective, and quality delivery of interventions following cyclone Gezani.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, execute, manage, and oversee a range of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate emergency programme implementation.
- Monitor progress, evaluate results, and ensure timely reporting.
- Provide professional technical, operational, and administrative support throughout the programme cycle from response planning and design to implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Required Experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas is required.
- Relevant experience in programme development in child protection related areas in a UN system agency or organization is desirable.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
• Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in social work, international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field.
