Overview
Support adolescent and youth development and civic engagement in Timor-Leste, focusing on employment, entrepreneurship, skilling, and civic participation, with an emphasis on gender and disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to updating situation analysis by conducting assessments.
- Assists in providing operational support to integrate cross-cutting issues into projects.
- Supports capacity-building initiatives for institutions working on adolescents and youth.
- Participates in organizing campaigns and workshops.
- Contributes to promoting access to and use of digital services among adolescents and youth.
- Participates in monitoring and evaluation exercises.
- Monitors and reports on the use of programme resources.
- Conducts regular field visits to assess progress and provide technical support.
- Provides support to government counterparts, NGO partners, and UN system partners.
- Identifies, captures, and shares lessons learned.
- Applies innovative approaches and promotes good practices.
- Researches and reports on best practices for knowledge products.
- Prepares required programme documentation for social media and other materials.
Required Experience
- 1 month relevant experience.
- Entry-level experience (internship, volunteer work, or academic projects) in areas such as youth development, community engagement, education, or social policy.
- Exposure to programme support, event organization, or research activities is desirable but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with issues related to climate change, disability inclusion, gender equality, or digital transformation is an asset.
