Overview
Edit short advocacy and social media videos highlighting the work of the United Nations and its partners in Lao PDR for use on UN digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit video clips for social media and YouTube (e.g., vertical or square formats for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and X). Or horizontal formats for YouTube or other platforms.
- Add subtitles, simple motion graphics, transitions, and background music where appropriate.
- Adapt video formats and aspect ratios for different platforms.
- Incorporate UN branding elements (logos, captions, colors, etc.) based on guidance provided by the RCO communications team.
- Produce final video files optimized for social media and other publication.
Required Experience
- Experience in video editing for digital or social media platforms.
- Proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar software.
- Ability to create clear subtitles and visually engaging edits suitable for short-form social media videos.
- Basic understanding of visual storytelling and social media formats.
- Attention to detail and ability to incorporate feedback.
- Experience with motion graphics or simple animations (desirable).
- Familiarity with UN or development-related communications (desirable).
