Overview

The role involves assisting with monitoring and evaluation for the WasteNet Project, including drafting reports, developing communication materials, and providing administrative support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Draft activity, quarterly, and yearly reports of the WasteNet programme.
  • Develop advocacy and communications materials (e.g., briefs, talking points, presentations, or social media content).
  • Provide administrative and logistical assistance on the organization of WasteNet national and regional activities.
  • Conduct background research and compile relevant data to support the drafting of concept notes and project documents.
Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the area of crimes that affect the environment, international development, legal affairs or similar areas is required. Experience in drafting various reports on topics related to crimes that affect the environment or organized crime. Experience in reporting and monitoring grants from major institutional donors. Expertise and knowledge of waste management, waste trafficking and Basel Convention. Experience working within the United Nations system or similar international organization.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
