Overview

The Operations Associate will provide administrative, analytical, and coordination support to facilitate effective operational oversight, budget management, and regional governance processes across the Regional Office and Country Offices in the Latin America and Caribbean region.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination, analytical, and administrative support to the Admin Finance Budget Unit.
  • Assist in preparing briefing materials, presentations, reports, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain tracking tools and documentation.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of regional governance mechanisms.
  • Assist in compiling operational inputs and documentation.
  • Support monitoring and follow-up on decisions and recommendations.
  • Assist in the review of Country Office Annual Management Plans.
  • Contribute to the monitoring of regional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support the preparation of regional operational performance reports and dashboards.
  • Compile and organize operational data.
  • Provide coordination and analytical support to regional initiatives.
  • Assist in compiling documentation and data for Country Office peer reviews.
  • Support regional initiatives related to eco-efficiency, greening, accessibility, and operational simplification.
  • Support the organization of regional trainings, webinars, and workshops.
  • Maintain documentation and knowledge-sharing resources.
  • Assist in documenting good practices, lessons learned, and operational innovations.
  • Provide administrative support for travel arrangements, meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Support procurement of goods and services.
  • Assist with invoice processing and payment follow-up.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Required Experience
  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in operations, finance, budget management, administration, or programme support.
  • Experience supporting budget monitoring, financial analysis, or management reporting is desirable.
  • Experience working in an international organization or UN system is an asset.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and coordination of management processes is desirable.
Qualifications

Master's degree in Budget, Administration, Financial management and/or General Operations

Remuneration
Monthly Living Allowance estimated at USD 2757.87 An entry lump sum of USD350.00 (paid in the first payroll). An exit allowance estimated at USD 120 for each month of service, paid upon contract completion. Insurance for medical, dental, and hospital care, as well as life and disability insurance. Medical insurance for eligible dependents. Annual leave accrued at rate of 2.5 days per month
