Overview
The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for facility and building maintenance, including generator operations and monitoring, and performing routine inspections to identify and correct faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience in generator operations, monitoring, and coordination of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (panels, wiring, breakers, lighting), plumbing systems (pumps, pipelines, sanitation), and basic mechanical systems.
- Experience in maintaining rooftop water tanks, booster pumps, fuel storage systems, and emergency power systems.
- Basic familiarity with ICT cabling and network troubleshooting in coordination with ICT teams.
- Ability to conduct routine inspections, identify faults, and perform immediate corrective actions efficiently.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with UN or UNHCR partners in facility/building maintenance.
- Experience in generator operations, monitoring, and coordination of scheduled maintenance activities.
