Overview
The Community-Based Protection Intern will support the implementation of community engagement, protection monitoring, and accountability activities, working closely with UNHCR staff and partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support community engagement and communication with communities (CwC), including assisting in organizing information sessions, awareness activities, and outreach initiatives.
- Contribute to protection monitoring, including data collection, documentation of trends, and follow-up on identified protection concerns.
- Assist in strengthening Accountability to Affected People (AAP), including compiling feedback received through community channels and supporting analysis.
- Support community structures in identifying protection risks, developing community-led solutions, and strengthening inclusion of persons with specific needs.
- Contribute to information management tasks such as drafting community updates, supporting service mapping, and maintaining up-to-date outreach records.
- Assist in preparing reports, minutes, presentations, and briefing notes related to protection and CBP activities.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for field missions, meetings, workshops, and capacity-building sessions, as required.
