Overview
The Regional Human Resources Officer will monitor and support human resources functions for Country Offices and the Regional Office, assisting with HR-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance on HR functions including Personnel Administration Supervision, Staff Development, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, and HR Reporting.
- Review Contracts and Personnel Action forms.
- Support monitoring of HR administration for RO staff, ensuring HR processes are followed.
- Oversee maintenance of the WAVE HR Module.
- Assist in implementing HR policies, rules, and regulations.
- Support personnel administration and payroll processing for smaller Country Offices.
- Assist in aligning workforce with strategic direction, analysing current workforce, and forecasting future workforce demand.
- Coordinate recruitment processes and staff training activities.
- Assist in the development of internal HR instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assist in training of staff in relevant HR management areas.
- Assist in the preparation of HR reports.
- Ensure regular updating of organigrams/staffing tables and contact lists.
- Report on HR management issues and suggest improvements.
- Assist in tracking regional statistics and planning for gender target achievements.
Required Experience
- Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree; or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
- Experience in Administration and Human Resources Management.
- Familiarity with the UN common system or similar systems.
- Working experience in the Region and/or developing countries is an added advantage.
Qualifications
• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.
