Overview
The Programme Assistant will support data collection, management, analysis, and visualization for decision-making and results tracking under specific programmes. The role aims to strengthen evidence generation and monitoring for children's rights and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compilation and validation of field information from UNICEF, schools and partner reports.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining datasets across education and skilling.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of structured databases and metadata documentation.
- Review and clean project implementation datasets for completeness and accuracy.
- Support partner and school headteacher performance reporting verification processes.
- Maintain data consistency between partner reporting tools and excel-based trackers.
- Support analysis of programme results and funding progress.
- Assist in preparing presentations for review meetings and decision-making documents.
- Contribute to strengthening partnership and coordination between multisectoral teams and partners.
- Support the design and facilitation of capacity-building sessions for implementing partners, government officials, U-Reporters, and internal staff on data collection, quality assurance, and management practices.
- Provide adhoc analytical and administrative support for education, skilling, and youth development data.
Required Experience
- 1 month relevant experience
- Some experience in data management and monitoring
- Some experience in girls education, school development an asset
- Some experience working and engaging with school-level actors is an asset
