Overview
The Field Team Leader (Bursa) will coordinate and oversee daily field data collection activities, ensuring compliance with protocols and quality assurance. The role involves supervising data collectors, conducting interviews, and reporting on field progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee the daily activities of field data collectors, ensuring full compliance with established data collection protocols, methodologies, and timelines
- Assign geographic areas and specific locations to data collectors, and systematically monitor their progress and performance
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative field interviews with individuals from host and migrant communities, ensuring ethical and culturally sensitive engagement
- Supervise and ensure the overall quality, accuracy, and integrity of data collection processes across the assigned province
- Provide continuous, real-time feedback and technical guidance to enumerators to address data quality issues and improve performance
- Undertake joint field visits with Project Associates to support implementation and ensure alignment with project objectives
- Effectively utilize designated mobile data collection tools and platforms in line with project requirements
- Prepare and submit regular (daily) updates on field progress, operational challenges, and key observations
- Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with community members, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate field access and smooth implementation
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor
Required Experience
- At least High School Degree with relevant experience
- Previous experience in field data collection, surveys, or assessments is desired.
- Prior experience working with migrants, refugees, or displaced populations is a strong advantage.
- Experience using digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK) is desirable.
