Overview
Provides analytical support for processing assigned portfolios and new transactions, focusing on spreading financial statements and analyzing the financial performance of counterparties in nonsovereign transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Spreading financial statements of counterparties (borrowers, sponsors, guarantors, contractors) at origination and monitoring stages.
- Spreading financial statements for bulk reviews under ADB's financing programs.
- Populating internal templates and ensuring accuracy of financial statements in ADB's risk rating system.
- Analyzing financial performance of counterparties.
- Reviewing, auditing, modifying, and sensitizing financial models for corporates and infrastructure projects.
- Conducting peer analysis, country and industry research for rating tasks.
- Preparing and assigning risk ratings of counterparties and drafting rating rationale.
- Participating in drafting risk appraisals for nonsovereign transactions.
- Performing additional tasks related to financial analysis, database development, and portfolio reviews.
- Participating in due diligence conference calls and missions.
- Assuming ad hoc project duties and other assignments.
- Providing support to other divisions and units in PSOD for special projects and tasks.
Required Experience
At least 5 years of work experience in major commercial banks, investment banks, microfinance, rating agencies, accounting firms or similar institutions, preferably in the areas of risk assessment, management and auditing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or accounting.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or MBA qualification is desired.
