Overview
Undertake accounting and financial administration functions related to disbursements for ADB's Technical Assistance projects and coordinate activities related to fiduciary and internal financial control compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Help prepare management information and reporting for monitoring TA projects.
- Support the revision of financial procedures and the TA Disbursement Handbook.
- Ensure disbursement operations of TA grants follow ADB's policies and guidelines.
- Monitor transaction volume and time for disbursement processing.
- Monitor outstanding advances, reconciliation of suspense accounts, and facilitate liquidation and accounting entries.
- Provide client service and advice to TA supervising units, consultants and other service providers.
- Oversee functional user support in developing, testing and implementing information technology systems.
- Support OR and business continuity by performing accounting and financial administration for TA project disbursements.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years' relevant experience in related fields.
- Working knowledge of business technologies in a computerized work environment with large databases and accounting software.
- Experience of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of multilateral development or international banking, accounting practices/systems, guidelines and reports.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating in cross-cultural and diverse teams and ability to collaborate constructively as an active team participant.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or finance; preferably with advanced training or an internationally recognized professional certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CA, or its equivalent.
