Overview
The National Communication and Partnerships Officer will support the implementation of a project focused on expanding social security to support the formalization of the Angolan economy. The role involves delivering communication and information products and services, and contributing to partner engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with efficient, effective delivery and administration of a range of communication and information products and services.
- Develops and implements national and regional communication strategies, plans and activities.
- Develops and delivers quality, timely, and widely accessible communication and information products and services.
- Produce specific communication content as appropriate for press releases, media clippings and short reports.
- Commission, research, write, edit and/or translate from/to the local language audience-specific communication and information products.
- Oversee the documentation services, maintenance and updating of websites, databases and web content management systems.
- Organize press conferences, media interviews and other public information events.
- Represent the work unit in interagency fora and meetings.
- Maintain effective coordination, engagement and communication with the donor, current partners and future partners.
- Support the drafting of technical annual progress reports and reviewed work plans.
- Support planning and monitoring of the project.
- Support project evaluations.
- Support the stakeholder engagement activities with some specific partners.
- Review Terms of Reference, budget estimation, Implementing Agreement, to support the implementation of the stakeholder engagement work.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Experience
- At least two years of relevant professional experience at the national level, in communication or information management.
- Knowledge of multimedia and graphic design tools
- Ability and proven experience in developing messages in various formats (press releases, websites, success stories, short videos, blogs, tweets info-graphics, etc.) aimed at a variety of audiences.
- Experience with advocacy, communication, and/or research work in the field of social protection, preferably in Angola.
- Experience with programmatic work
- Experience with M&A tools
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and partnerships
Qualifications
First-level university degree in communication, journalism, information management, and other relevant areas in communication or social studies.
