Overview

The Consultant will develop and implement communication strategies for project closure and inception, produce communication products, and prepare knowledge management outputs to showcase project achievements and lessons learned.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short-term communications and visibility plans for NOCAMO Project closure and SWIOP Project inception.
  • Strengthen visibility and branding of NOCAMO, SWIOP, and the Nairobi Convention across digital platforms and events.
  • Develop communication materials for COP 12.
  • Produce high-quality communication products including human-interest stories, articles, and success stories.
  • Support content development for project webpages, the Nairobi Convention Website, and social media platforms.
  • Curate and organize knowledge products to enhance accessibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Enhance engagement with partners through coordinated communication efforts and content co-creation.
  • Contribute to synthesizing lessons learned, good practices, and transferable approaches for knowledge management and learning.
Required Experience

A minimum of four (4) years of relevant progressive experience in strategic communications, preferably in the context of environment, international development or climate-related programmes is required.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) is required in communications, journalism, environmental communication, public relations or similar disciplines. A first level degree with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
