Overview

Provide graphic design support to enhance public knowledge by creating visually appealing and impactful communication materials for UNDP in Malawi.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design graphic materials including posters, flyers, brochures, infographics, fact sheets, illustrations, PowerPoint templates, presentations, maps, visual summaries, and document layouts for reports and briefs.
  • Work closely with programme teams to visualize concepts, ideas, results, and outputs, translating technical or narrative information into clear, visually compelling products.
  • Ensure all products adhere to UNDP corporate branding guidelines, maintaining consistent typography, colour schemes, and layout standards.
  • Deliver both print-ready and digital-optimized formats.
  • Develop design drafts and refine them based on feedback.
  • Provide final editable source files (AI, PSD, INDD, PPTX, etc.).
  • Prepare 10–15 finalized graphic products depending on office priorities.
  • Deliver a set of polished templates for communication materials.
  • Deliver at least 5 professionally designed products (reports, infographics, posters, etc.).
  • Deliver bilingual versions of materials where applicable.
Required Experience
  • Professional experience in graphic design.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing document layouts and visual communication products.
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Experience designing materials for development, governance, or public information sectors is an asset.
Qualifications

• A degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is considered an asset (not mandatory).
