Overview

The Communications intern (Videography and Digital Media) will support UNODET’s efforts to enhance visibility and engagement through multimedia storytelling and video production, focusing on videography and short-form digital media.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Capture compelling video content in dynamic environments.
  • - Film behind-the-scenes moments and key activities.
  • - Edit short-form, social-first video content.
  • - Support the communications team in producing engaging multimedia content.
  • - Assist in recording video and audio.
  • - Organize and manage video footage and media assets.
Required Experience
  • No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
  • Experience capturing video in real-world environments such as conferences, interviews, or events.
  • Strong visual instinct for framing, pacing, and storytelling.
  • Strong organizational skills related to managing video footage and media assets.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
  • - Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
  • - Be enrolled in the FINAL academic year of a university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
  • - Have graduated with a university degree as defined in (1) and (2).
  • Preferably in the area of Film Production, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, Multimedia Production, Visual Arts, or related fields.

Languages Required
Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
