Overview

Support the Digital Communications team in maintaining and enhancing digital platforms and knowledge resources, gaining practical experience in digital communications workflows.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with uploading and updating content on the ITC website
  • Support formatting and layout of web pages
  • Help ensure accessibility compliance
  • Assist in troubleshooting minor website content issues
  • Support quality assurance checks
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining digital assets and files
  • Support with data analysis and reporting
  • Assist in cataloguing publications and knowledge products
  • Support metadata entry and tagging of documents
  • Help organize digital library resources and archives
  • Assist with document classification and filing
  • Assist in creating visual assets for web and social media
  • Support design of banners, infographics, and digital graphics
  • Support visual content preparation for campaigns and events
Required Experience
  • No work experience is required.
  • Any relevant experience in a similar field is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of the first university degree programme in computer science, information management or related field (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent); OR
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); OR
  • Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Languages Required
• Advanced knowledge of English or French is required.
Languages Preferred
• Working knowledge of the other language is desirable.
Contract Duration
three months with possibility of extension up to a maximum of six months
Work Modality
ITC Headquarters-based (Geneva, Switzerland)
Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
