Overview
The Climate Action Intern will assist in supporting the Mission’s activities in migration, environment, and climate change, and assisted voluntary return and reintegration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supporting Mission’s activities in all portfolios, including but not limited to migration, environment, and climate change, and assisted voluntary return and reintegration.
- Prepare correspondence, notes for file, briefing notes, reports, presentations, and other mission documents.
- Collect, review, and synthesize information on climate mobility trends.
- Maintain the Climate Action SharePoint workspace and other internal communication platforms.
- Support systematic document archiving.
- Monitor media coverage related to the Mission’s work and developments on WUF13.
- Support the organization of meetings, visits, and activities in the lead‑up to and during WUF13.
- Assist with routine office processes, including preparing purchase and payment requests and other administrative documentation.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned in support of the Climate Action Unit’s objectives.
Required Experience
- Interns should have less than two years of relevant working experience.
- Experience of working with / volunteering for international organizations, non-governmental organizations or governmental institutions in a multicultural setting is an advantage.
- Previous working experience in project management and administration work is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Be enrolled in a graduate degree programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Have graduated with a university or graduate degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within one-year of graduation.
