Overview
The Administrative Officer, P3 role supports the Industry and Economy Division in managing resources, facilitating programme management, and providing general administrative assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising and supporting Heads of Units in budget and finance management, including forecasting, monitoring, and advising on financial regulations.
- Leading, overseeing, and coordinating financial and human resources aspects of programme of work and budget preparation and implementation.
- Overseeing project preparation, revision, and financial reporting of implementing partners.
- Providing general administrative assistance, including developing procedures, implementing support services, and supervising administrative staff.
- Collecting and analyzing data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making and reporting.
Required Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in fund management of project implementation covering the full project cycle (from development to closure) is required.
- Experience in working with the United Nations or similar international organization is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of progressive managerial experience is required.
- Experience working at the interface of programme and finance functions, including supporting project implementation and financial monitoring, is desirable.
- Experience in the use of ERP systems and financial reporting tools for budget monitoring and analysis is desirable.
- Experience in process improvement and streamlining administrative and financial workflows is desirable.
- Two (2) years or more of experience in data analytics or a related area is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business or public administration, finance, accounting or related area is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with an additional two (2) years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
