Overview
Policy Officer positions in DG RTD - European Commission focusing on green transition-related R&I programming activities within the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support R&I programming activities within the Horizon Europe Framework Programme (Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment).
- Provide feedback to green transition policy development.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of EU funding/financing instruments for green transition solutions.
- Engage with policy development on circular economy, bioeconomy, food systems, biodiversity and natural capital, Earth observation, ocean, seas and water.
- Support general activities of the Unit, including preparations for the next Horizon Europe Framework Programme and the future European Competitiveness Fund.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 3 years work experience.
- Background or qualifications in at least two or a mix of the following fields: green transition and environmental policy making, green transition-related research and innovation, and economics and finance as applied to green transition innovation and scaleup.
- Experience in EU policy processes and the Commission's internal procedures would be beneficial.
- A good command of Excel and other relevant IT tools will be considered as an asset.
Qualifications
• Have a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
