Overview
The Senior Safety and Security Officer is responsible for facilitating the safety and security of Oxfam GB personnel and assets by monitoring, planning, and assessing the security situation in operation areas.
Key Responsibilities
- - Monitoring, planning, and assessing the security situation of operation areas (Gambella Region).
- - Facilitating the safety and security of Oxfam GB personnel and assets.
- - Keeping up to date the security situation of the operation areas.
Required Experience
- At least five years of practical experience in security and safety risk management in hostile operating environments.
- Proven expertise in Ethiopia safety and security context along with good understanding of Gambella Region security/safety environment and dynamics.
- Established experience of training, including field-based training.
Qualifications
BA/MA Degree in Political science and International Relations or political science / Peace and Security studies/ Peace building and Conflict Resolution, Police Science/Military Science, Law from recognized College/University, or related qualification which can added value to the post.
