Overview

Manage and lead the Field Office Miragoane’s activities to ensure timely and effective deployment of operations. Oversee day-to-day logistics operations and support the deployment of Country Officer initiatives, policies, and strategies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead Field Office Miragoane’s activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day logistics operations including transportation management, procurement, and inventory.
  • Hold accountability for the deployment of Country Officer initiatives, policies and strategies.
  • Ensure efficient use of financial and assets resources.
  • Support the FO on security matters.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and partners.
  • Assist with data gathering and monitoring systems.
  • Prepare analysis and reports on WFP operations.
  • Forge and nurture external partnerships.
  • Develop and sustain liaison with local government authorities, international and local NGOs, UN Agencies, donors, civil society, beneficiaries and other partners and media.
  • Facilitate technical decisions on program management and programme convergence.
  • Engage with beneficiaries and inspect storage places.
  • Keep the CO Management informed on social political development.
  • Other as required.
Required Experience

At least 5 years of postgraduate progressively responsible professional experience as Head of Field Office and in the logistics domain in Haiti or in other CO.

Qualifications

Advanced University degree in Economics, International Development, Social Sciences or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience (logistics) and/or training/courses.
