Overview
Establishment of long-term agreements with individual professional videographers to provide video production services, including filming and post-production, on a needs basis for UNICEF's advocacy and communication purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Film and edit video packages of 2–3 minutes, including shot lists, scripts, b-roll, interviews, and voice-overs.
- Produce short human-interest films.
- Film at various locations across North Macedonia, capturing interviews, sound bites, and b-roll.
- Edit footage into high-quality video products, adding graphics, text animations, and subtitles.
- Source and obtain rights-cleared music.
- Record professional-quality voice-overs.
- Attend pre-production briefings and participate in planning.
- Coordinate with UNICEF Communication focal points.
- Submit final approved video products, including required versions, b-roll, and interviews, within specified timelines.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional videographer experience, nationally and/or internationally, including large-scale campaigns.
- Proven experience in documentary filming in development/humanitarian contexts, particularly related to child rights, human rights, and the SDGs.
- Experience video documenting children and vulnerable populations, with the ability to engage sensitively and ethically.
- Proficiency in editing and post-production, including use of post-production software.
- Ability to conceal the identity of the subject where necessary, while producing effective and strong communications materials.
- Highly responsible sense of journalistic ethics and in-depth understanding of child protection issues in the broadcast/digital environment.
- Owns professional videographer equipment (camera, sound recording, basic lighting) and post-production software.
Qualifications
• Degree and/or Certificate in film, communications, arts, media, or any related field and/or certificates in video production is an asset.
