Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking a consultant to support the update and strengthening of key datasets underpinning its work on social protection financing. The assignment will focus on updating data on national poverty lines and social protection expenditure, and on producing revised estimates of the financing gap required to achieve universal social protection in selected countries, namely China, Colombia, India, Iraq, Kenya, Nigeria, Oman, the Philippines and Ukraine. The assignment will also involve benchmarking results against comparable countries to strengthen cross-country analysis and policy relevance. Working under the supervision of the Public Finance Specialist within the Social Protection Department (SOC/PFACTS), the consultant will contribute to the systematic collection, validation and harmonization of country-level data, as well as to the refinement of methodologies used to estimate financing gaps for essential health care and social protection cash benefits.
