Overview
Support children's digital rights programme development and planning, and provide technical and operational support to programme implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and update situation analysis for programme development.
- Research and report on development trends and data.
- Contribute to programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning.
- Provide technical and operational support throughout programming processes.
- Prepare programme documentation, materials, and data.
- Build a shared narrative to enhance engagement with government and private sector.
- Support stakeholder mapping and risk analysis.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to discuss implementation issues.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises and programme reviews.
- Monitor and report on the use of programme resources.
- Prepare sectoral programme/project reports.
- Conduct programme exchanges and provide technical support.
- Provide technical and operational support to counterparts and partners.
- Develop and implement strategic way forward based on identified interventions.
- Provide technical assistance for reporting channels for OCSEA and potential harm.
- Support implementation of COP within the National Child Policy.
- Produce policy briefs, position papers, and recommendations.
- Support implementation of advocacy strategies and dissemination of materials.
- Build and sustain partnerships with government and industry stakeholders.
- Support engagement with industry forums and corporate sustainability platforms.
- Mobilize business accountability for mitigating online risks and harms.
- Draft communication and information materials for programme advocacy.
- Identify, capture, synthesize, and share lessons learned.
- Apply innovative approaches and promote good practices.
- Research and report on best and cutting-edge practices.
- Participate as a resource person in capacity building initiatives.
Required Experience
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in the area of child protection is required.
- Experience working in an upper middle-income country/context, in Malaysia is considered an asset.
- Background and/or familiarity with the technology sector is considered a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside an organization.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: public administration, international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, business studies, or another relevant social science field.
