Overview
Support programme development, planning, management, monitoring, and implementation in child protection, with a focus on child online protection and violence against children.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze trends in child violence prevention and response, with a focus on online safety.
- Collect, analyze, verify, and synthesize information for programme development and design.
- Prepare technical reports and inputs for programme preparation and documentation.
- Facilitate the development of sectoral programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning.
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout programming processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to collect, analyze, and share information on implementation issues.
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, programme reviews, and annual sectoral reviews.
- Monitor and report on the use of sectoral programme resources.
- Undertake field visits and surveys and collect and share reports.
- Assess progress and provide technical support.
- Build and sustain close working partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders.
- Research information on potential donors and prepare resource mobilization materials.
- Draft communication and information materials for programme advocacy.
- Identify, capture, synthesize, and share lessons learned.
- Apply innovative approaches and promote good practices.
- Research, benchmark, and report on best practices.
- Participate as a resource person in capacity building initiatives.
- Serve as the section’s KM focal point.
Required Experience
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas is required.
- Knowledge and experience in child online protection is desired.
Qualifications
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: international development, human rights, social work, psychology, sociology, law, or another relevant social science field.
