Overview
The Driver position is at the GS-2 level in UNICEF Egypt country office, responsible for providing safe and reliable driving services, routine vehicle care, and supporting office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport UNICEF personnel and goods to official destinations, adhering to traffic regulations and UNICEF safety standards.
- Provide airport reception and support for staff and official visitors.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, ensure timely service and repair, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and security.
- Support the preparation of vehicles for field missions and long-distance travel.
- Operate the Vehicle Tracking System and update travel bookings in the UN Mobility Tool.
- Adhere to digital fleet management procedures and reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate manual and digital trip records.
- Maintain communication during field movements and follow emergency protocols.
- Support light administrative tasks and participate in team meetings and safety briefings.
Required Experience
Minimum two years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
Qualifications
Secondary education is required, along with a valid driver's license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
