Overview
Translate select Climate Promise website content from English to French, including explainers, editorial content, country pages, and social media assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate explainers and other select editorial content on Climate Promise website into French
- Translate country pages hosted on Climate Promise into French
- Translate any required social media assets for major campaigns into French, as needed
- Translate site labels, headlines, menu items, and any other ad hoc requests related to translation on the Climate Promise website
- Ensure alignment of translations with UN and UNDP guides on French translations
Required Experience
- Strong understanding of climate change and climate action
- Prior experience translating development, humanitarian, environmental or climate-related content.
- Ability to deliver quality translations under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with UNDP editorial and publication standards, including terminology, structure, and formatting requirements is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, stylistic consistency, and adherence to institutional branding and communication guidelines.
- Ability to work with large documents and ensure coherence and quality across bilingual/trilingual versions.
