Overview
Provide frontline support to the GRASP-UHC project by mobilizing community participation and facilitating community-level activities to improve access to quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with project specialists to deliver quality and technically sound activities at the community level.
- Lead community-level participatory situational analyses and consultations.
- Mobilize the participation of diverse stakeholders.
- Design and facilitate capacity-building activities.
- Facilitate local participation in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of health interventions.
- Prepare comprehensive community-level reports.
- Support emergency response activities as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing programs at the community level.
- At least 2 years specifically in health-related projects/programs.
- Strong understanding of community development principles, partnership and stakeholder engagement, networking, advocacy, data gathering, documentation, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, within a public health context.
- Knowledge of children’s rights, government health programs, community-based health systems, health governance, gender equality, and inclusion, particularly in relation to public health.
Qualifications
- University degree in a health-related discipline (Public Health, Nursing, etc.), Social Work, Community Development, Social Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
