Overview
Support the continuous, secure, and efficient operation of the Climate Change Information and Knowledge Management Platform (CCIKMP) by providing comprehensive technical support, system administration, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor server uptime, response times, and overall portal performance.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Optimize backend processes and database queries.
- Implement and update security protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch known issues.
- Keep the CMS (Strapi) and all plugins/modules up to date.
- Test updates in a staging environment.
- Ensure compatibility with existing features and integrations.
- Set up automated weekly backups.
- Test backup restoration procedures.
- Maintain secure off-site or cloud-based backup storage.
- Respond promptly to reported technical issues.
- Document and resolve bugs.
- Maintain a log of issues and resolutions.
- Monitor bandwidth and storage usage.
Required Experience
- Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience.
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of documented professional experience in administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of web-based platforms and content management systems (CMS), including performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree) in ICT, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, System Analysis or another relevant field; OR
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience.
