Overview

International Consultant to support the development of the National Education Sector Strategic Plan (NESSP) 2027-2036 for Nigeria, building on education sector analysis.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Ministry of Education and the technical working group in conducting an education sector analysis (ESA), including developing a framework, analyzing data, and finalizing the ESA report.
  • Support the Ministry of Education and the technical working group in developing the NESSP 2027-2036, including developing a framework, writing sections based on ESA results, and finalizing the NESSP document.
Required Experience
  • At least five years of experience in conducting and supporting education sector analysis, including data collection and review.
  • At least five years of experience in supporting governments in developing education sector plans.
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience in training and coaching government officers on education planning and management in low-income and middle-income countries.
  • Experience in supporting education sector development and coordination in emergency contexts.
  • Experience working with UNICEF or international organizations.
  • Experience working for development projects funded by international donors.
  • Experience working in Nigeria or other sub-Saharan African countries.
Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Education, International development, Social sciences or other relevant fields.
