Overview
International Consultant to support the development of the National Education Sector Strategic Plan (NESSP) 2027-2036 for Nigeria, building on education sector analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Ministry of Education and the technical working group in conducting an education sector analysis (ESA), including developing a framework, analyzing data, and finalizing the ESA report.
- Support the Ministry of Education and the technical working group in developing the NESSP 2027-2036, including developing a framework, writing sections based on ESA results, and finalizing the NESSP document.
Required Experience
- At least five years of experience in conducting and supporting education sector analysis, including data collection and review.
- At least five years of experience in supporting governments in developing education sector plans.
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in training and coaching government officers on education planning and management in low-income and middle-income countries.
- Experience in supporting education sector development and coordination in emergency contexts.
- Experience working with UNICEF or international organizations.
- Experience working for development projects funded by international donors.
- Experience working in Nigeria or other sub-Saharan African countries.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree in Education, International development, Social sciences or other relevant fields.
