Overview
Provides timely and accurate translations to ensure clear communication among project partners, enhancing collaboration and information exchange. Supports the project team in precise communication with national stakeholders to contribute to efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Full and precise delivery of Oral and Written (English – Turkish- English) communications between the project and external and internal project partners on subject matters (Construction, Design, Contract Management, Environment, Women’s empowerment, etc.).
- Proofreading and editing of the reports, minutes, official and unofficial communications, other documents and texts for the project.
- Maintaining the organized files of the documentation as instructed by the Project Team.
- Support the project team in drafting qualitative and precise communication for liaising with the national stakeholders and partners.
Required Experience
- Relevant experience is work in translation, interpretation or related areas.
- Experience in Translation (English-Turkish-English) simultaneous, consecutive and written.
- Experience in the use of collaboration and productivity tools (e.g. MS Office, G-Suite, Zoom, etc).
- Prior experience with the UN system or an international organization is an asset.
Qualifications
- Secondary school (High School or equivalent) with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
- A first level (Bachelor or equivalent) or advanced (Masters or equivalent) university degree preferably in Linguistics or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) in the above mentioned subjects or related field.
