Overview

The Project Coordinator will support the effective, timely, and compliant implementation of UNFPA’s ECHO-funded action focused on integrated lifesaving Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services for crisis-affected populations in Myanmar.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day coordination and implementation of the ECHO-funded project.
  • Coordinate with implementing partners to ensure timely delivery of activities.
  • Support the integration of GBV, SRH, and MHPSS services.
  • Monitor partner performance against indicators and deliverables.
  • Track project progress against indicators, targets, and results framework.
  • Consolidate input for internal and donor reports.
  • Support monitoring of service delivery through field visits and partner reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UNFPA procedures and donor requirements.
  • Support budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.
  • Follow up on procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with UNFPA field offices and partners.
  • Liaise with donor technical counterparts.
  • Compile and synthesize key project information, including lessons learned.
  • Contribute to the development of reports, briefs, and presentations.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor.
Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian programme coordination or project management, preferably in GBV, SRH, and/or MHPSS. Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded projects, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. Experience working with implementing partners, including coordination, capacity strengthening, and performance follow-up. Strong understanding of integrated humanitarian programming, with working knowledge of MHPSS approaches and the IASC Guidelines on MHPSS in Emergency Settings. Strong coordination, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in complex and access-constrained environments. Previous experience of working on EU projects would be a distinct advantage.

Qualifications

An advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.

Fluency in other ethnic languages (Shan, Karen, Kachin, Rohingya) is an asset.
