Support the UNV communications team by providing Jamaican Sign Language (JSL) interpretation during an online interview with a UN Volunteer who is deaf or hard of hearing. This role ensures accessibility and inclusion during the interview process.


Key Responsibilities
  • Participating in a brief preparatory coordination meeting with the UNV communications team prior to the interview
  • Providing real-time interpretation during the online interview session
  • Supporting effective communication between the interviewee and the audiovisual communications specialist
  • Ensuring clarity, accuracy, and inclusivity throughout the interaction
Required Experience
  • Proficiency in Jamaican Sign Language (JSL)
  • Ability to provide real-time interpretation in an online setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to participate in a scheduled online session and prior coordination
