Overview
Provide practical assistance to witnesses appearing before the International Criminal Court in The Netherlands, facilitating their testimony and maximizing their wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation activities for witness arrival.
- Provide welcome briefing to witnesses.
- Carry out entry/exit procedures for witnesses.
- Escort witnesses within ICC premises and during transportation.
- Assist in administering witness surveys and questionnaires.
- Maintain administration regarding witness-related activities.
- Monitor vulnerable witnesses, including mealtime assistance.
- Perform other duties as instructed.
Required Experience
- Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with vulnerable persons.
- Ability to work with persons from a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
- Must reside in the Netherlands and live within commuting distance from the ICC headquarters.
- Must have a valid driving license in the Netherlands and be comfortable with driving duties.
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary education.
- Further education in Public Service, Social Work, Nursing or Psychology would be an asset.
- An advanced or a first-level university degree may be considered as a substitute for two years’ working experience.
