Overview
The Urban Resilience Consultant will provide technical support for projects aimed at building more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient cities by strengthening stakeholder capacity in measurement, decision-making, planning, and action development for resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the development, design, translation and delivery of e-learning content and materials.
- Collaborate in the preparation and conduct of training and capacity-building events on urban economic resilience.
- Collaborate in the preparation of reports, including desk research, data analysis, writing, preparation of maps and diagrams, and support report editing.
- Collaborate in the preparation and conduct of capacity-building events and workshops, jointly with partner institutions, as well as in the production of outputs and reports derived from such activities.
Required Experience
• A minimum of 2 year of experience is required in developing strategies, guidelines, toolkits or policies for effective urban environments, in liaising with private and governmental authorities, other national/international institutions and NGOs, and in working within diverse urban environments.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree is required in Urban or Regional Planning, Development Studies, Engineering or similar fields.
- A 1st level university degree with two additional qualified years of experience will be accepted in lieu of the advance degree.
