Overview

Assist the Archives and Legacy team with preserving the Court’s archives and institutional memory.


Key Responsibilities
  • Appraising, accessioning and describing archival print and digital records.
  • Creating finding aids.
  • Digitizing records as necessary.
  • Processing and packaging physical items according to best practice.
  • Responding to reference requests from staff or outside researchers.
  • Monitoring the environmental conditions in the archive.
  • Completing individual projects as agreed.
  • Assisting with the provision of Library services as required.
Required Experience

Candidates for a Visiting Professional placement must have at least 3 (three) years of relevant professional experience. Practical experience that is relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset.

Qualifications

All Candidates must have a degree in archives, records management, museum studies, information science, library science, information management or related field from a recognized university.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (French or English) is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration
internship and visiting professional placements at the ICC are unfunded. The ICC is not able to provide participants in the Internship and Visiting Professional Programme with any remuneration, nor is it possible to provide reimbursement for expenses incurred prior, during or after the internship or visiting professional placement.
