Overview

Internship opportunity within the Protocol, Events and Visits Unit, Registry, focusing on the preparation and organisation of daily group visits, receiving the general public, and assisting with high-level visits, meetings, and special events.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support with queries and requests from visitors at the information desk.
  • Assist on the organisation of general information visits.
  • Welcome groups upon arrival by providing introductory presentations.
  • Assist in the preparations and organisation of special events, conferences or ceremonies.
  • Assist in making logistical arrangements including booking conference rooms, requesting IT services, catering, transportation, parking, preparation and distribution of relevant information materials.
  • Support with administrative tasks such as informing Security of scheduled visits and names of visitors.
  • Welcome visitors in the public area and escort them to their seat.
  • Maintain records of visits and events and maintain statistics.
  • Prepare and distribute ICC documentation, assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of stock available and anticipate needs for printing.
  • Assist in the creation and compilation of content for general information visits.
  • Assist with other duties as required.
Required Experience

Practical experience that is relevant to the work of the Court may be considered an asset. Applicants must have less than three years of relevant full-time professional experience.

Qualifications

All Candidates must have a degree or be in the final stages of their studies at a recognised university. Candidates are expected to have a very good record of academic performance.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, French or English, is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (French or English) is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish), or of Dutch or German languages is an asset.
Contract Duration
Between three and six months (to be agreed to prior to commencement).

Remuneration
Internship placements at the ICC are unfunded. The ICC is not able to provide participants with any remuneration, nor is it possible to provide reimbursement for expenses incurred prior, during or after the internship. Applicants must therefore be able to support themselves for the entire duration of their internship.
