Overview
The International Criminal Court (ICC) is seeking interns to support the External Relations Team of the Presidency. The role involves assisting with issues related to international relations, politics, diplomacy, and public relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of background information for the President's travel and diplomatic meetings.
- Researching relevant legal and political developments.
- Obtaining relevant information from other Court sections/organs.
- Drafting and revision of external and internal correspondence, letters, speeches, presentations, memoranda, and other materials.
- Verifying format according to Protocol standard.
- Communicating with other Court organs on external relations activities.
- Taking notes during meetings and preparing summaries.
- Performing any other duties as required.
Required Experience
Internship placements focus on candidates in the early stages of their professional careers. Practical experience is not an essential prerequisite. Should there be relevant practical experience, it may be considered an asset. Applicants must have less than three years of relevant full-time professional experience.
Qualifications
- All Candidates must have a degree or be in the final stages of their studies at a recognised university.
- Demonstrating very good knowledge in international criminal law, public international law or international relations.
- Candidates are expected to have a very good record of academic performance.
