Overview
Interns will provide support to the Detention Section of the International Criminal Court, focusing on legal research and administrative tasks related to the mandate of the Detention Section.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on matters related to the mandate of the Detention Section.
- Provide support to relevant sections on projects related to the mandate of the Detention Section.
- Follow cases before the Court related to the Detention Section.
- Provide summaries of important filings and in-depth analysis of relevant decisions.
- Assist in drafting correspondence.
- Provide support in the management and supervision of all activities undertaken by the Section.
- Assist in drafting memoranda.
- Assist with managing the Detention Section’s various databases.
- Provide administrative assistance on any other task assigned by the CCO.
Required Experience
Practical experience is not an essential prerequisite. Should there be relevant practical experience, it may be considered an asset, but should not exceed 3 years.
Qualifications
- Degree or in the final stages of studies at a recognized university in the area of law, international relations or other relevant field.
- Very good record of academic performance.
