Overview
The Canine Caretaker will oversee the health, well-being, and general care of all canines, working with Security officers in the Canine Unit to improve compound security through better K9 dog wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Feed, monitor eating habits, and report appetite fluctuations.
- Clean kennels, crates, runs, dishes, laundry and complete general cleaning duties.
- Bathe and brush dogs when needed.
- Scoop dog waste immediately and dispose of it as instructed.
- Mop up accidents immediately.
- Dust mopping/wet mopping floors as assigned.
- Removing trash from containers.
- Disinfect outside area.
- Follow all procedures and protocols to help decrease cross-contamination and increase overall health.
- Work with the canine Supervisor and Officers to enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of all dogs.
- Treat the animals with kindness and respect.
Required Experience
- Minimum of one years of previous work experience providing cleaning service preferably in UN.
- Previous experience of animal care is an advantage.
- One year of working experience
Qualifications
• High school graduate.
