Overview

The Canine Caretaker will oversee the health, well-being, and general care of all canines, working with Security officers in the Canine Unit to improve compound security through better K9 dog wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities
  • Feed, monitor eating habits, and report appetite fluctuations.
  • Clean kennels, crates, runs, dishes, laundry and complete general cleaning duties.
  • Bathe and brush dogs when needed.
  • Scoop dog waste immediately and dispose of it as instructed.
  • Mop up accidents immediately.
  • Dust mopping/wet mopping floors as assigned.
  • Removing trash from containers.
  • Disinfect outside area.
  • Follow all procedures and protocols to help decrease cross-contamination and increase overall health.
  • Work with the canine Supervisor and Officers to enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of all dogs.
  • Treat the animals with kindness and respect.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of one years of previous work experience providing cleaning service preferably in UN.
  • Previous experience of animal care is an advantage.
  • One year of working experience
Qualifications

• High school graduate.
