Overview
Consultant to lead a situational assessment on eye care and vision impairment across WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region countries, guiding data collection and liaising with multisectoral stakeholders to generate high-quality data for the Global Status Report.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance for data collection preparation.
- Assist in identifying and supporting National Data Focal Persons.
- Design and conduct online trainings for National Data Focal Persons.
- Provide technical advice on data quality and validation.
- Review country-level validation and approval processes.
- Ensure transmission of agreed-upon answers and assist with data entry.
- Report on project progress.
- Provide technical input to the review of the draft global report and dissemination strategies.
Required Experience
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in public health, including data collection/analysis.
- International experience is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Minimum first university degree in medicine, public health, epidemiology or a related field.
- Advanced university degree for mid and high end of range.
