Overview
The Monitoring Learning and Evaluation Officer will coordinate process documentation, learning, evaluation, and reporting activities for the Newborn and Child Health project, ensuring rigorous qualitative and quantitative assessments and alignment with WHO and MoHFW requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) framework.
- Oversee the implementation of project MLE components, developing tools, indicators, and data collection mechanisms.
- Support local teams in planning and implementing qualitative and quantitative evaluations.
- Collaborate with teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality data collection and analysis.
- Contribute to periodic reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Engage with internal teams, implementing partners, state and district authorities, and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
- Monitor project activities, expenditures, and progress.
- Develop periodic reports, summaries, and learning briefs.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing to disseminate best practices.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of demonstrable experience in implementing MLE activities of large public health projects.
- Previous experience of working with UN and/or reputed research agencies/institution in MLE related role.
Qualifications
- Essential: Master’s degree in public health /MD in Preventive and social medicine.
- Desirable: Postgraduate degree / diploma in statistics, demographics, social sciences, or related field.
