Overview
The Senior Finance Associate, Compliance & IP Accounts Payables will be responsible for budgeting and financial functions within the Country Office in Cairo, Egypt, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review accounting transaction reports.
- Conduct pre-audit verification of invoices.
- Support month-end closure activities.
- Review, verify, and settle Travel Expense Claims.
- Assist in monitoring financial activities.
- Review and process accounting transactions.
- Process payroll for national staff.
- Serve as Finance Focal Point for the CO-Cairo Office.
- Act as Finance and Compliance Focal Point for the Cairo Office within the BOS Team.
- Monitor assigned staff and project advances.
- Prepare and submit compliant financial reports.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget.
- Assist in coordinating the vendor creation and maintenance process.
- Support financial oversight for Implementing Partners.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective measures.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration with four (4) years of relevant professional experience.
- High School Diploma from an accredited institution with at least six (6) years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience applying financial principles and procedures within institutional or organizational settings.
- Experience developing and implementing internal control measures.
- Experience ensuring adherence to organizational financial policies, workflows, and approval procedures.
- Experience integrating financial considerations into operational and administrative processes.
- Experience using MS Office applications (especially Excel) and ERP-based accounting systems, including WAVE (Oracle).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- High School Diploma from an accredited institution.
