Overview

Supports IOM Mission in Uzbekistan in assisting with the implementation of return and reintegration assistance to vulnerable migrants, with a special focus on women, including victims of trafficking.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain communication and liaison with respective IOM Missions and Offices globally, as well as other stakeholders, on case-related matters.
  • Undertake case management support activities in an assigned area or areas.
  • Assist in the efficient and effective management of beneficiaries' case files and related documentation.
  • Undertake beneficiaries form fill interviews for the purpose of recording biographical information.
  • Provide information support to sending IOM Missions if required.
  • Assist with collecting and recording information relevant to identifying protection concerns.
  • Provide pre-departure/pre-return guidance.
  • Provide arrival/reception assistance and arrange onward transportation.
  • Provide informational and practical support to beneficiaries on case management procedures.
  • Provide guidance to beneficiaries on reintegration components.
  • Assist in placement of beneficiaries in need of (temporary) shelter.
  • Assist with reintegration support to beneficiaries.
  • Support the coordination of delivery of reintegration assistance to beneficiaries.
  • Insert all information related to case management files to MIMOSA in a timely manner.
  • Liaison with national stakeholders in Uzbekistan, IOM Offices, and partner-NGOs.
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation and finalization of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities.
  • Undertake reporting activities on case management at IOM Uzbekistan.
  • Support awareness raising activities on the risks of irregular migration.
  • Support outreach and capacity building activities on case management.
  • Assist with the preparation and dissemination of case management related information materials.
  • Liaise with respective government and non-government entities in Uzbekistan.
  • Participate in meetings with the IOM Country Office and provide inputs on case management and operational issues.
  • Undertake other tasks within the incumbent's capacity, as might be identified and assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
  • High school diploma with five years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor's degree preferably in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences, and/or other relevant field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals is desirable.
  • Knowledge of general related trends, processes in Uzbekistan is an asset.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation is desirable.
  • Experience in liaising with UN Agencies and/or other international organizations, government agencies and NGOs is an asset.
  • Experience supporting project implementation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences, and/or other relevant field from an accredited academic institution

Languages Required
Fluency in English, Uzbek (oral and written) is required.
Languages Preferred
Russian is desirable.
